FAC-C/DAWIA: Federal Contracting Workforce Certification (FAC-C)
NPI, Inc. offers the training you need that supports the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) FAC-C (The Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting Program or FAC-C), and FAC-COTR (The Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting Officer Technical Representatives or FAC-COTR) certification programs. Civilian Agency and DoD Contracting personnel are required to take mandatory training for Contract Specialists and CORs/COTRs in order to achieve certification.
These programs were created to establish core requirements for education, training and experience for contracting professionals in civilian agencies and DoD personnel, pursuant to the policies of the OPP. These programs establish competency and educational requirements for all federal employees depending upon their certification levels and are based on Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) standards. To fulfill these requirements, students must complete DAU-equivalent courses and other specific, acquisition-related courses.
FAC-C - Contract Specialists Training
The certification will be accepted by all Civilian agencies as evidence that an employee meets the core education, training and experience requirements to be a contracting professional (generally the GS-1102 series). The following chart shows the DAU contracting courses required by the FAC-C and DAWIA certification program. NPI, Inc. offers equivalent training for Levels I, II and III.
